Product Description

This entirely new setting of Isaac Watts' classic text for SATB choir and organ (or piano) accompaniment is an excellent addition to any church choir's hymn repertoire. The melody line is both memorable and easy to sing. The arrangement features a variety of voicings in the verses, including an optional a capella section, a soprano (or tenor) solo, and a final unison verse with descant. This setting also includes Watts' original, famous line at the end of the first stanza, complete with gravelly low notes: "...for such a worm as I." Liturgical use: Holy Week, atonement, redemption, Good Friday.

Your purchase benefits the Frederic Bacon-Shone Memorial Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aims to inspire future generations of students through arts education at K-12 public schools.  Visit us at www.facebook.com/DrBMemorial.
