Francks beautiful setting of the penultimate stanza of Saint Thomas Aquinas hymn "Sacris solemniis" was written in 1872. Although originally scored for tenor voice it has since become one of the most loved and most recorded of sacred pieces, sung by all voice types. (Here in A Major, suitable for sopranos and tenors)
