Product Description
All six of the "Quartets for Low Strings" -- two violas, cello and bass. Inexplicably, these fine pieces, written about 250 years ago, have
remained unpublished until now, although the alternate versions for three
celli and bass were published by Doblinger (Vienna) in 1978/81. The musical language is late-Baroque/early-Classical, and the low sonority is irresistibly delicious. My edition is clear, meticulous, and user friendly: every page-turn occurs at the end of a movement. Ready-to-print two-sided, or print one-sided and assemble the pages.
The link here should take you to a recording on YouTube of the first quartet -- if the link doesn't work, search at YouTube for "Wagenseil Sonatas"
