Here is a string quartet arrangement of Ice Dance, from "Edward Scissorhands," by Danny Elfman. There are two versions included, an intermediate one and a more advanced one with some challenging arpeggio runs for the viola and cello. This piece makes an ideal companion to the Introduction (Titles) from the same film, which I have also arranged for string quartet. My arrangements include bowing and fingering suggestions and are suitable for both student and professional ensembles. Double-stops are idiomatic and mainly added to enrich the harmony and texture, but may be dropped by less advanced groups.
