This Concert Piece is a composition for Violoncello and Piano in a style somewhere in between jazz and classical music. It is based on a ragtime like feel, and reharmonized on the basis of jazzy funtional harmonics.

After a short Intro it starts with the ragtime theme, which is further on varied in many ways before it comes to a cantabile part, focussed on a cello melody. The piano accompanies in the style of a jazz ballad.

The cantabile ends with a written solo cadenza for the cello, which leads back to the ragtime theme..
