Product Description

A quiet Place was written in 1967 but it was the 1988 recording, by American a cappella group, Take 6, that has gone on to become the most well loved version. This arrangment for four trombones (or three trombones and tuba) is based on that recording.

In order to bring this beautiful setting of Ralph Carmichael's music & lyrics to life, sensitive phrasing and legato playing is paramount. A very strong upper register is required for parts 1 & 2

This quartet is scored for three tenors and bass trombone. Treble clef B flat parts and a treble clef E flat tuba transposition of part 4 are included for brass bands and alternative parts 1 and 2 in tenor clef are available.

There is a quiet place

Far from the rapid pace

Where God can soothe my troubled mind

Sheltered by tree and flower

There in my quiet hour

With Him my cares are left behind

Whether a garden small

Or on a mountain tall

New strength and courage there I find

Then from this quiet place

I go prepared to face

A new day with love for all mankind
