Product Description

This arrangement of a popular fanfare from Handels Water Music has been commonly played at church services and weddings for many years. The Water Music itself is a collection of pieces written at different times between 1717 and 1733. It is not clear as to the setting these were written for although most speculation seems to believe that these were pieces written for King George I during his many river outings. The collection of the pieces was assembled and published under the title "Water Music" in 1740.

Although commonly written for small orchestra or larger brass ensembles, usually with two F Horns, this arrangement has been specially scored for a standard brass quintet instrumentation. In addition, the seldom played middle section has also been included. The fanfares popular melody is easily  recognized by audiences and the work is still as exciting today as it was when first performed in the 18th century.
