Clarinetist Nancy Braithwaite has been a frequent supporter of my music. She has commissioned and premiered the following works of mine.

2. Clarinet Quintet (2013) for clarinet and string quartet
3. La Serenissima (2013) 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 horns and 2 bassoons
4. Alice (2015) mezzo-soprano, clarinet, violin, viola and cello

B.A.C.H. (2018) for clarinet and piano is dedicated to Nancy. The opening clarinet solo employs the notes Bb, A, C and B natural, which spells out the name Bach. In keeping with the Bach association, the form of this work is built on the dance baroque suite:

1. Prelude ... Adagio
2. Allemande ... Allegro
3. Courante ... Moderato
4. Sarabande ... Largo
5. Gavotte ... Allegretto
6. Gigue ... Presto
