Product Description

This hymn tune is early American, composer unknown. The text for "There's a Wideness...." has been set to several other melodies, most notably "Wellesley" but I found this version in the Evangelical Lutheran Church hymnal (ELW 588) and was attracted by the pentatonic folk melody. This setting incorporates Coplanesque harmonies and some bluegrass-like violins. The tune is also sometimes known as "Lord Revive Us"
