Product Description
For TTBB chorus a cappella, 'Christ the Lord is Risn Again" was composed for the men of St Johns Episcopal Church in Charleston, WV. It was first premiered in 2001 at an Easter Sunrise Service, and was subsequently recorded by the all-male ensemble, Cantabile. While the melody uses chant-like phrases throughout, the opening theme is loosely inspired by the Ave Maris Stella chant. The music also incorporates medieval sounds of drones and parallel fifths. The polyphonic texture of the final Alleluia section will be fun and challenging. This song is best suited for an Easter service or a concert during the Easter season.
