Product Description

Luiz Bonfá's "Manhã de Carnaval" ("Morning of the Carnival") was the principal theme in the 1959 Portuguese-language film Orfeu Negro (Black Orpheus) by French director Marcel Camus. Bonfá's lyrical, melancholy song became one of the first Jazz/Bossa Nova compositions to gain popularity outside Brazil and helped establish the Bossa Nova movement in the late 1950s. This swaying, sensual arrangement for string quartet provides the full score and all four parts.
