Verse 1-3 are SATB; verse 4 is in 7 parts, SSATTBB, with a piano/organ reduction. It could also be used with just the melody and soprano part as a descant, with the piano/organ supplying the rest of the harmony.

This arrangement can lead congregational singing, or be used as a stand-alone (and very effective) concert item during Lent or Passiontide.
