Product Description

Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music" has become a hallmark of the musical theatre stage and the worldwide cinematic landscape.  Maria, a young postulant living in Austria during World War II, is sent to be the governess of Captain von Trapp's seven children.  Bringing music back into the household where it was once forbidden, Maria wins over the children and the Captain and together make their escape from the imposing Nazi regime.  At the beginning of the show, the nuns in the abbey are singing their morning prayers.  This arrangement for a cappella SSAA Chorus are divided into three movments (Chant, Morning Hymn, Alleluia) - it is appropriate to perform all of the movements together.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
