Around the horn 2 is the second in a series of duets for the different members of the saxophone family, in this case, 2 tenor saxophones.Much like Around the Horn for 2 alto saxophones, this version is both whimsical as well as technically challenging for the performers.In traditional terms, I would label this work a ' fantasy'. The work moves from section to section and, as the title suggests, it moves in a round-about way.. Indeed, except for the pointed, staccato sections, what these sections have in common are various 'circular motions. So here is some fun for you and a friend!
