Product Description

String quartet or string orchestra arrangement of the famous South American tune, El Condor Pasa. Famously adapted by Simon and Garfunkel with the words "I'd rather be a hammer than a nail" the origins of this melody are traced back to the Peruvian Andes. It was also used by the composer Daniel Alomía Robles in a Zarzuela in 1913.  Nowadays the song is played by Andean pipe flute ensembles in tourist spots all over the world.

This arrangement fits on two pages of score so players can read off the score. The viola part is in treble clef and can also be played by a third violin part.
