This is the latest addition to a series of classic praise and worship songsThe Proclamation Serieswith the following features:
1. A vocal/piano/chord chart for use by the praise team and/or choir as well as the rhythm section.
2. A companion orchestration including substitute partsfor example,
tenor sax parts which can be played as a substitute for (or in addition
to) trombones.
3. A full C score, for reference or to allow a keyboard player to fill in for missing supplemental players, e.g., strings.
4. A computer-generated mp3 demo.
If this song didn't appear on your radar when it first came out, or
if you need a reminder of how appropriate the song is for our current
time, please look at the sample PDF and listen to the mp3. This has been one of my favorites for all these years.
Note: while the score covers all the usual church orchestral instruments
except percussion, this arrangement will also fly with less than a full
orchestra. For example, using only the brass section or only the string section could be fun ways to re-introduce
the song today. Or even using just a few supplemental instruments, for example, a flute and a clarinet, can be very effective.
If you want to use this orchestration as a stand-alone instrumental piece, I'd recommend also purchasing my Keyboard/Piano duet edition, posted separately on Sheet Music Plus; it is totally compatible with this arrangement, and its Keyboard part would cover the melody.
If you take both verses and perform it at the tempo of the demo, it will go 3:20.
Note: the purchase price allows you to duplicate as many copies as needed for your singers and instrumentalists.
It
has been my lifelong endeavor to provide fresh, yet accessible music
for
the churches and schools with whom I have been associated. Because of
the slowdown caused by Covid-19, I
finally have the time to start posting 45 years' worth of custom
arrangements on Sheet Music Plus. If you are curious about what else is
available, please navigate to my publisher page here on SMP
