Product Description

The miller, his son and the donkey is an old fable, first appearing in the 13th-century writings of the Islamic Iberian
historian and poet Ibn Said. There are many eastern versions of the tale and in Europe it was included in a number of Medieval collections including Aesop's fables.
This quintet is intended for outreach performances such as in schools or libraries.  The text is generally spoken (by the performers, written into their parts) and some extended techniques are included - fluttertongue and "jet whistle" effect, "lip down" and "bop" in the horn, key clicks on clarinet, bassoon playing on reed alone.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
