This classic rock-fusion selection made famous by Weather Report and later Manhattan Transfer will provide your students and audience with a refreshing experience in hearing strings in a jazz setting. The arrangement works more closely to the original if a solo electric bass is used rather than the traditional full contrabass section. A written out jazz violin solo is included however, chords are provide for all parts to encourage improvisation by as many students as possible. The arrangement may be performed without a rhythm section (optional guitar) but the addition of the drums and piano will add to the jazz excitement. A Violin 3 part is included as a substitute or to bolster the Viola section.
