Product Description

Akikaze no Kyoku (), written by Japanese musician and composer Mitsuzaki Kengyo in the first half of the 19th century, is an important work in the sokyoku (koto music) repertoire. Mitsuzaki invented a novel tuning for this piece while also incorporating both the danmono (Edo period instrumental koto music) and kumiuta (song cycle) genres. This arrangement for guitar simulates the sonic effects of the koto and features the opening six dan (movements) of the piece, which serve as the introduction to the song cycle. 9-page sheet music score with tablature.
