"In the Hall of the Mountain King" was included by Grieg in his Peer Gynt Suite No.1. This arrangement is for Intermediate Level Woodwind and/or Brass Ensemble with Optional Percussion. The instrumentation is flexible, allowing for various combinations of instruments from a trio to a concert band, including Clarinet Trio/Ensemble, Saxophone Trio/Ensemble and Brass Trio. The melody is shared between Part 1 and Part 2. Elementary Level (beginner) Alto Sax players could also be included in an ensemble by using the Baritone Sax part, as the range of this part is only 5 notes (B C# D E and F#). The score is shown in concert pitch. Octave displacement occurs in some parts. Part 2 and Part 3 are kept below the break for the Clarinet and/or Bass Clarinet players.
