Product Description

Video score of a new Christmas carol composed by Philip Le Bas for unaccompanied SABar (soprano-alto-baritone) choir.

A new Christmas carol composed by Philip Le Bas for unaccompanied SABar (soprano-alto-baritone) choir.
This short and rhythmically exciting carol is based on sequences of 6-bell change-ringing that is commonly heard around parish churches in Britain. The text ("The Angel Gabriel from Heaven came") is comes from a traditional Basque carol, translated by Sabine Baring-Gould (1834-1924.) The choice of SABar responds positively to the challenge that many parish choirs find themselves in of having far more women than men!
