Product Description

$4.00 for 2 copies. This energetic, patriotic hymn was first written in 1876 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the United States Constitution. This duet is arranged for an intermediate player paired with an older beginner. The beginner should be able to count well and play a simple part with 3 flats. In this arrangement for 4 hands the energy and vitality stay throughout. The first verse is easily recognizable and hymnlike with the melody being played by the upper part. The second verse gives the melody to the lower part while the upper part plays a simple eighth note rhythm. During the third verse the upper part has the melody again and the lower part plays two-handed arpeggios. The piece ends grandly. The "fanfares" are in all the expected places. The computer generated MP3 doesn't play all of the fanfares with the correct rhythm, but they aren't difficult.
