Product Description
This clarinet quartet arrangement of John Philip Sousa's classic march, Black Horse Troop, is perfect for recitals, patriotic or Americana events, weddings, or background music at a formal event. It was written for professional, college, and upper-level high school ensembles. Sousa wrote "The Black Horse Troop" for Clevelands famous Ohio National Guard Cavalry, known as Troop A. Sousa was well acquainted with Troop A and was quite a horseman himself. My clarinet quartet arrangements have equally balanced parts, so all Bb's will play melody, counter melody, and obbligato/technical passages. Originally scored for a full concert band, I hope you enjoy this setting for clarinets.
If you like this arrangement, you might also like my clarinet quartet arrangement of Davide Delle Cese's L'Inglesina (The Little English Girl). It's available on:
