About this Sheet Music Arrangement of Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman

My aim in this simple lead sheet of Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman was to give the maximum info in as little space as possible. And so you will find is this sheet music the guitar chords, using capo in the third fret, along with the melody. It also contains the intro instrumental melody with each verse notated out individually with a repeat to the chorus. The key of the piece is in Bb.

Each verse is notated separately as the rhythm and melody for each verse is slightly different. To try and notate all verses together and get each nuance of the rhythm and melody of the different verses would have made the music look too cluttered. Instead I've opted for notating each verse separately with a repeat back to the chorus with directions for going into each verse.

This makes it more clear, the chords are also slightly different at the end of the first chorus going into the second verse and the end of the second chorus with the extended instrumental/mid-eight section into the third verse. So basically depending on which verse you are going into will depend on where you jump to in the music at the end of the chorus.

The small notes at the beginning and end are the instrumental melody played on the Piano/Keyboard or another instrumentalist, flute or oboe would be a nice touch I think. The bracketed notes are alternate melody notes sung in the last chorus. Strangely this does not end on a common cadence but rather concluding on chord IV which is unusual for a piece of music. If you feel this sounds strange to your ears you can finish on the root chord should you wish to on the last bar. But that is how Chapman ends on the recordings I have heard

Where to use
This is a lovely song from a father to his daughter about cherishing every single moment and how they grow up too fast. It could be sung at a daughters special birthday by her father or it could be the father of the brides dance with his daughter at her wedding.
