Product Description

The fourth movement from the cantata Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, also known as Sleepers, Wake! has been arranged for Wind Quintet. The horn part takes the tenor voice solo throughout, singing over the rest of the ensemble.  The arrangement maintains original intentions and sounding pitch (allowing the horn part to be replaced by a tenor vocalist if required).   All players have occasional rest-bites and plenty of opportunity to shine, with the general range and technical demands for a convincing performance aimed at advanced players. This popular baroque classic would be a perfect addition to concerts, recitals and wedding programmes, for both audiences and performers alike.

The PDF is 21 pages in length (portrait A4) and includes a full score and parts for standard wind quintet (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Horn in F and Bassoon) with additional parts for Horn in Eb & Trombone and Bass Clarinet to substitute the Horn and Bassoon parts respectively. The duration  of the Chorale is about 3.30 minutes.
