The song became very popular in the US in 1950, with English lyrics (Take me to your heart again) by David Mack, when seven recordings - made by Tony Martin, Paul Weston, Bing Crosby, Ralph Flanagan, Victor Young, Dean Martin, and Louis Armstrong - all reached the Billboard charts. The song has also been covered by many other artists over the years, including Bette Midler, Donna Summer and a 2018 version by Lady Gaga.This instrumental arrangement makes an excellent recital item or popular encore.
