Product Description

The premier of Charles Gounods new five act Opera, Romeo et Juliette, was in Paris on April 27, 1867.  It was an immediate success. In the first act, Juliettes Nanny encourages her to marry the man her Father has chosen for her. Juliette responds with this famous arietta singing of her hopes and dreams for her life and of the love she hopes to find. Romeo overhears her singing and falls in love with her.

The original French title is Ah! Je Veux Vivre. Another English title to the arietta is Daydreams.

This uplifting arrangement has both pedal and lever harp versions that may be performed together. They only differ in the pedal/lever markings and occasional grace or harmony notes. There are numerous pedal and lever changes. The dynamics are clearly marked.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
