The Christmas Waltz as sung by Karen Carpenter, arranged for Orff/marimba ensemble by Doug Edwards. This arrangement is intended for school Orff and marimba ensembles with optional solo voice or instrument lead. It comes with score and parts in keys of C and G. The parts are in alphanote format to help young musicians who may not have strong enough skills to read standard notation. Melody/lead sheets are also provided for other transposing instruments
in Bb, Eb, Bass clef, alto clef and F Instruments.
A full score and parts are provided in both keys of C and G. If singing the melody, then use the score and parts in G for better vocal range. Both keys are playable by Orff instruments with no need for accidentals with one exception - the Baritone part will need an F# when using the Key of G version.
The provided youtube video performance of this song features a vocalist on melody sung in the written range (high). Other good options are to sing it an octave lower or use the Key of G version.
