Product Description

One of the most well-known short pieces composed by Czech composer, Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904).

This arrangement has been transposed into an easier key for saxophone (C major / Eb minor) so that it can be played with three like instruments (e.g. three sopranos, three altos, three tenors or three baritone saxophones). This enables teachers to use it in a small group lessons, and music students can take turns at the different parts.

Written ranges are
Saxophone 1: E above the stave to low B
Saxophone 2: C above the stave to low B
Saxophone 3: G resting on the top line of the stave to low C

Although all parts require dexterity and a good understanding of rhythm, parts 1 and 2 share the lead lines and are slightly more difficult than part 3.

The arrangement mostly follows old piano manuscripts and includes ornaments such as grace notes and pralls. The exceptions to this are some minor adjustments to the harmony in a few bars, and the ending, in which the second-last bar has been reharmonised from the usual. Duration is approximately 2 minutes 45 seconds.

Score is four pages, and the parts total six pages; each part is two pages.
Total of ten pages.
