Product Description

This is a melodrama for piano and spoken text. The pianist is welcome to leave out the text as the music may stand alone without it. Also, the pianist may wish to have another person read the text as well. Melodramas also appear with the texts of distinguished poets and writers as well. Works dealing with the works of Oscar Wilde, Rachmaninoff, Edgar Allen Poe and WB Yeats are firmly entrenched in American musical literature. Still other pieces deal with children's stories (Babar, The Elephant, The Frog King and Hansel and Gretel. This piece is about a turtle who is disillusioned with his job at the pond.
