Product Description

Sakura is the national flower of Japan and  represents a time of renewal and optimism. The blossoms pink color signifies the ending of winter and the beginning of spring. Due to their quick blooming season, cherry blossoms also symbolize the transience of life, a major theme in Buddhism. This reference appeared in the conclusion of "The Last Samurai," when he expired beneath a plum tree with the blossoms falling over him with him saying, "never a more perfect ending." Total war: Shogun2 accompanying the "reincarnation" of fallen warriors. You can here it in countless movies and other video games as well. The song's lyrics describe how fallen soldiers reincarnate as "Cherry blossoms," prior to their return to earthly living (according to Buddhist teaching) .
