Product Description
The Rivendell String Quartet Arrangements is pleased to inaugurate its new Pop Standards Series with Thats Amore, a classic from the songwriting team of Harry Warren and Jack Brooks.
Originally written for the Paramount motion picture The Caddy, starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, Thats Amore was the first major hit for crooner Dean Martin, reaching the #2 spot on the Billboard charts in 1953. It also received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Original Song that year, losing to Sammy Fains Secret Love. This pop standard was also featured as the opening title song in the 1987 romantic comedy Moonstruck.
Youll find your audience singing along with "Scusa me, but you see, back in old Napoli, thats amore!"
