Product Description

A Rivendell String Trio Arrangement. This is one of our most requested pieces for wedding preludes. When Captain Von Trapp gives a party to introduce his fiancé Elsa, son Kurt asks their new governess Maria to teach him to dance the Ländler (this charming Austrian dance is actually based on "The Lonely Goatherd"). When he fails to negotiate a complicated step, the Captain steps in to demonstrate.   In Act II Captain von Trapp sings "Edelweiss" as a goodbye to his homeland, using Austria's national flower as a symbol to declare his loyalty to the country. This arrangement is also available for String Quartet and String Orchestra.  Like us on Facebook: facebook.com/rivendellarrangements.
