This woodwind quintet arrangement of the Beatles' Yesterday is a stand-alone feature for high school or college woodwind ensemble -- Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, F Horn and Bassoon, and includes a jazzy ad lib solo for the Oboe (with suggested written solo if needed). It begins fairly close to McCartney's simple chords, then moves into more colorful jazz voicings with variations in tempo while still keeping the melody accessible. All the parts are fun to play, with well-crafted moving lines. Just 3 minutes long, and medium difficulty. Arranged by Court Mast (CourtMast.com).
