Product Description

AURA LEE meets JS BACH - Bb CLARINET and PIANO
Derek Hasted writes "Aura Lee, written about the America Civil War, was published in 1861, but is now a Public Domain melody (see the Public Domain Information project at www.pdinfo.com).

You may know it better as Elvis Presleys Love Me Tender, although thats in copyright.

Its a perfect beginners piece for Bb Clarinet and its all below "the break".

The piano part is a homage to Bachs famous Prelude in C Major, from "The Well Tempered Clavier".

About 50% of the Prelude features in this accompaniment to a beginners version of "Aura Lee", and it turns it from a straightforward and perhaps uninspiring study into a concert item the audience will love!

I hope you enjoy playing this piece!"

This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by "number of instruments", with links to soundclips and sample score.
