I have endeavored to emulate the style of Aaron Copland in this writing. It is simplistic, yet profound. No matter how often you practice with a metronome - which is important to do! - be sure to turn that thing off just as many times and let the music tell you when to ease up and when to press forward. Listen to the notes: play what you hear and feel. Be moved yourself; otherwise no one else will be either!
