Product Description

Mundi rector is choral part from Vivaldi's oratorio Juditha triumphans RV 644. The Latin libretto was written by Iacopo Cassetti, and it's base on the Book of Judith. Vivaldi wrote this oratorio for the ensemble (the orchestra and chorus) of the Ospedale della Pietà. The interesting fact that all characters (male and female), choruses line (originally written in SATB mixed chorus range) and orchestral lines were sung and played by women.

This arrangement is written for female duet or 2-part ensemble (from SATB voices range (G2 E flat 5) to voices SA range (D4 F5 )), accompanied by keyboard instrument and flute.
