John Davison's Brass Quintet is comprised of four movements: Passacaglia, Scherzo, Ballad (in the style of an English folksong), Allegro. The 14-minute composition is for advanced performers and is expertly scored for traditional brass quintet of 2 Trumpets in B-flat, Horn, Trombone and Tuba.

This work is very satisfying to perform and has been recorded by the Grammy winning Chestnut Brass Company.
