This arrangement captures all the melodic and harmonic elements of Verdi's march, but it is like reproducing Mt. Rushmore to a soap sculpture in one bar of soap. Much of the majesty is lost. It is, however, fun to play even lacking the horses, elephants, and a 140 voice chorus that appear on some stage productions. A descant B-flat clarinet is included that can be used in lieu of an E-flat clarinet.
