The quartets of Opus 8 were written for various wind/string combinations. This one featured the oboe, which is ironically omitted from this arrangement for flute, clarinet, horn and bassoon. The sound clip is from the last measures of the first movement. It features a horn run that will be a challenge, but sounds so neat if it's nailed. Everything else is quite playable. We have done it for audiences and it was received well.
