Prince George is an English Country Dance tune that made its first appearance in the 7th edition of Playford's Dancing Master, which was published in 1686. I've written a second part for this tune in an interesting contrapuntal style. The structure is AA'BB'; the repeats are written out. The lower part takes the melody on B'. Prince George can be played on two violins or flute (recorder) and violin. In the audio sample provided here, it is performed on tenor recorder and muted violin. Prince George can serve as a beautiful and unique wedding processional, especially for the groom. It could combine effectively with The Princess's Court for the bridesmaids and The Princess for the bride. Prince George can also be played at Renaissance fairs for court processions.
