Product Description
Barbershop vocal harmony, as codified during the barbershop revival era (1930spresent), is a style of a cappella close harmony, or unaccompanied vocal music, characterized by consonant four-part chords for every melody note in a predominantly homophonic texture.
Four for Four - A Barbershop Medley, scored here for trombone quartet, visits seven popular tunes. Included in this medley are: Sweet Adeline, Peg O My Heart, The Darktown Strutters Ball, I Dream of Jeanie, Margie, M-O-T-H-E-R and K-K-K-Katy.
The tessitura for the first trombone is quite high. Perhaps an assistant may be used to keep everyone fresh.
