Sagrada is a classical piano sonata form that has been reconfigured into a prelude for church service. Simple and groovin at times, and also harmonically rich and daring. It has traditional lines as well as more contemporary counterpoint similiar to dimitri shostakovich, or bill evans, or chick corea. The piece is written in sonata form and includes multiple distinct and unique themes and developments before concluding. 14 page arrangement is challenging but not overly so, and well worth the effort to learn. Deeply funky tune draws from too many inspirations to mention, but some include Beethoven, Shostakovich, Richard Smallwood, Chick Corea, and Bill Evans. It was used for a piano and drum prelude in church, for a moment in time.
