The Swan (Le cygne) is a movement from The Carnival of the Animals (Le carnaval des animaux), a musical suite of fourteen movements, each representing a different animal or animals. The work was written for private performance by an ad hoc ensemble of two pianos and other instruments. In this version, the composition was arranged for Tuba and Piano by Harry Walker.
