Tin Pan Alley songwriter Maceo Pinkard wrote "Mammy O' Mine" as a relatively slow sentimental song. But you can hear hints of the songwriting trajectory that would eventually lead Pinkard to write the blockbuster hit, "Sweet Georgia Brown".   Our treatment of this attempts to stay close to the sentimentality of the original. Lead responsibilities are split between first trumpet, French horn, and trombone. Arranged for brass quintet (two Bb trumpets, French horn, trombone, and tuba).
