Product Description
"Stolen Moments" is a jazz standard, composed, and recorded by Oliver Nelson in 1961. After a four bar intro, the sixteen measure melody rides above a tight, dissonant, harmonic texture in the key of c minor. The solo section, which follows, offers the band members the opportunity to improvise on a standard twelve-bar minor blues progression. This arrangement is scored for two trumpets, two tenor saxes, a trombone, (which doubles the second tenor part), and the rhythm section, (guitar, piano, bass, and drums).
