This duet is both fun to play and a great, simple exercise for learning to shift from first to third position.

The most important thing in this duet is to play in tune. When you play a note with the third finger in first position, then play the same note with the first finger in third position, make sure they are exactly the same pitch!

Playing the duet with a partner helps.
