One of the most haunting and beautiful of Israeli folksongs. Written in 1945 by Oded Zehavi, for words by Israeli poet Haim Hefer, it is one of the most beloved tunes in Israel. We have played this arrangement at weddings, in bars, in senior homes, and in my living room just for our enjoyment.
