Reflections is a musical musing on two very different places Iâve lived. From the ages of twelve to eighteen, I lived in rural Virginia. Our house was located on a five-acre plot of land with few neighbors. The first movement ("On a Country Morning") portrays the quiet, slow, early morning of the country. The birds start singing and the sun rises to greet the day. At eighteen, I ventured off to college in a very different environment - a large city. The second movement ("On a City Afternoon") conjures up the image of a hustling and bustling city center, full of life and excitement.
