Commissioned in 1998 by First Baptist Church Kalamazoo to celebrate the installation of their new 54 stop Letourneau organ, this concertato arrangement finishes with a fine toccata which has been much admired by a number of leading organists. First Baptist asked me to create this concertato on the well know hymn tune 'Foundation' and include a separate part for a talented trumpet player within their congregation. This is festive music for congregation and choir and as such is well suited to either a celebratory service or concert style performance.
